Credit Risk Officer
Risk Management Directorate (RM) - Credit Risk Department (CRD) – Project and Structured Finance Division (PSF)
The PSF Division is responsible primarily for providing specialized structuring support to the Bank’s operational lending groups and opining on related credit proposals. The primary business is non-recourse project and asset finance and high yield lending operations spanning the Power, Energy, Transportation, Water, Real Estate, Mining and Industrial sectors. The Division covers operations originated in the EU and under the Bank’s Mandates in the European Neighborhood and Partner Countries, Asia and Latin America, and Africa, Caribbean and Pacific.
The successful candidate is expected to be an experienced front office professional in non-recourse project lending, asset finance, high yield debt, PF advisory or related field with solid deal exposure. S/he is a highly competent underwriter with the ability to bring solutions to often difficult and unique deal structures.The chosen candidate will cover both the EU and emerging markets.
Responsibilities:
The candidate should be capable of working from inception on multiple complex operations in parallel
Independently assess credit risks of project and structured lending transactions and opine thereon
Actively support Lending/Investment Officers in structuring new transactions
Advise on the formulation of, and approve, loan agreements and associated legal documentation from draft term sheet through to final contracts
Provide structuring recommendations on key post-signature events, including proposed solutions to contractual breaches and restructuring plans and opine thereon
Contribute to credit strategy discussions, make policy recommendations and, as required, assist in translating policy recommendations into policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 to 8 years of private sector experience in non-recourse project/asset finance or related business, preferably in a structuring/execution role
Masters degree, preferably in business, finance or related.
Excellent knowledge of English. Knowledge of French or other European languages (preferably Spanish), would be an advantage

Strong analytical skills with proven capacity to rapidly understand and condense complex project structures and provide sound judgement on all aspects of credit risk
Clear and concise written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Ability to work under pressure and with demanding deadlines
